Viva Kerala won the Dhronacharya Trophy by beating Kerala State ElectricityBoard 1-0 in the final. The all-important goal was scored by Ghanaian Reuben Senyo

 

 

According to the coach A.M. Sreedharan, the match was very rough and the Viva players were careful not to get injured. "However, we should have won the match with  4 to 5 goals difference. But we played cautiously today. We have important matches ahead of us in the Federation Cup and I-League, so we didn't want to take any risks.

 

Viva Kerala won the 1-lakh prize money and Ghanaian striker was adjuged "man of the tournament". He scored in the 18th minute off a K.P. Anish pass. The team will have one day off and resume practice on Tuesday.
