Coach Sreedharan gave his players a rest today and the lads used their
free time to visit a community project for young children from
difficult backgrounds. Viva Kerala stars K.P Anish, Mohammed Marsook
and others enjoyed meeting the young children who happened to have a
match against the Vision India team today.
Sajesh presented the players with some Viva Kerala training bibs and some footballs were given out too.
Don Bosco is an organisation that houses, feeds, educates and does much
more for children found in Kochi, including providing football
coaching. The children showed off some of their skills during the
match drawing raucous ovations from the onlooking Viva players. The
performance of one young lad gave Sirajudeen a bit of a scare as he
made penetrating runs down the left and scored a few goals with manager
Prasanth looking on and the transfer window still open.
All the players enjoyed their afternoon off and provided some inspiration to the children at Don Bosco.
