Viva Kerala signed two more players to bolster its squad. Both players come from Tamil Nadu and have already represented their U-21 state team.
Chief coach A.M. Sreedharan and team manager K. Prasanth flew to Chennai yesterday to observe the practice sessions of the Tamil Nadu state team for the Santosh Trophy. The Viva officials were impressed by two young defenders, Satheesh and Parthiban and hence signed the Memorandum of Understanding with these two players. "They are very young and good potential players. Apart from that, they are very tall! Satheesh is a stopper back while Parthiban is a versatile defender who can also play on the wings.", explained the coach. Furthermore, the veteran coach added that he now has a balanced side and only three more foreigners will be added to the team. These are most likely to be one defensive player and two strikers.
