Viva Kerala will lock horns with Shillong Lajong SC in its first match of the 2nd Division I-League Final Round. The task will be cut out for coach Sreedharan's young team.
The team already arrived in Gurgaon on 26th March to get accustomed to the climatic conditions in Haryana. According to coach Sreedharan, the conditions are hot, but the ground is very well maintained.
The coach is satisfied that all players reported fit and ready. Striker C.S. Sabeeth is also raring to go. He had to sit out most of the matches in the first phase as he was plagued by a back injury. He is likely to partner Nigerian Baba Tunde upfront.
Sreedharan reckons that the chances are high since four teams will be promoted to the First Division this time. But at the same time, there is no single weak outfit in this final phase. "Even though the situation is favourable, we have to work very very hard", explained the coach.
Add a bit of luck to that and we might see a Kerala team in next season's I-League. The team is raring to go! GO VIVA!
