Three Viva Kerala players represent the state in the just started Santosh Trophy tournament. Midfielders M.P. Sakeer and P. Rahul as well as young striker V.K. Shibinlal are part of the team.
Young C.S. Sabeeth was expected to play for Tamil Nadu, but an injury sustained during the preparation camp prevents him to do so. On another note, future Viva players Fredy (Tamil Nadu) and Sumit Thapa (Delhi) will participate in the tournament.
