Viva Kerala today completed its signings for the first transfer period by securing the signatures of P. Rahul and K.V. Lalu who were with the Kerala Santosh Trophy squad recently.
Apart from this, team manager Prasanth flew to Goa some days back to sign the Indian U-19 trio of Shahbas Saleel, C.S. Sabeeth and Shahin Lal Meloli. Thus, the signings for the first transfer period have completed and saw the registration of mostly upcoming young and talented Malayalee players. Adding to this were T. Karma and S. Sathish Kumar who are non-Keralites, but held in high regard by coach A.M. Sreedharan.
Two or three experienced Indian players might be
signed in November and three foreign players - one defender and two
strikers - are scheduled to join in October. Finally, Viva Kerala did
not sign Anil Kumar, Ignatious Satheesh, V.V. Surjith and Parthiban due
to different circumstances.
