Viva officials have confirmed the commencement of this season's preparation camp for the 17th of August. This is also the first day of the Malayalee month Chingam.

The players have received notifications from the club and are now required to report to the training facilities in Udyogamandal on August 15th. The team is likely to have two sessions per day. The morning session will improve physical fitness while the evening sessions puts emphasis on working with the ball.

Viva Kerala is also scheduled to play a match against a team from Nigeria in the first week of September. The outing will take place at the JawahalLal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. Coach Sreedharan hopes that Ghanaian stopper back George Tutu would join the team by that time.
