Expectedly, the likes of K.K. Abid, S. Arun, Jain Raj and P. Sajesh extended their stay at Viva Kerala. Adding to that new players have been taken in offically now. Apart from that, T.S. Abdul Abithin (Ernakulam), A. Nidhil (Titanium XI), Mohammed Shihab (Malappuram Soccer Club), the 17-year old prospect E. Sanid (Kannur) and midfielder Sirajuddin (Annamalai University) put pen to their Viva Kerala contracts.

The official signing will continue in the coming days with versatile defender V.V. Surjith set to become a Viva Kerala player. It was possible to convince the former SBT and Kerala U-21 player to don the Viva Kerala jersey.  In a major turn, the team management abstains from signing goalkeeper A. Jaffer. Instead of him, goalie N.M. Anoop (formerly Oxygen Pharma) will sign for the club which he already represented four years ago.

Most of the new players signed 2 or 3 year contracts.
