"I am eating and drinking football at the moment", says an eager Liaquat Ali as he is working day and night to prepare Viva Kerala for the coming season.

 

The 2008/2009 season is not even finished officially, but after Viva Kerala's triumph in the 2nd Division I-League, the club's managing director has already started to work on the 2009/2010 team. 

 

While seven Viva players joined the Kerala Santosh Trophy camp in Udyogamandal, the others left for their respective homes and enjoy the squad season break. Liaquat Ali and the team management however, will conduct a meeting in Ernakulam to talk about the coming season. Coach A.M. Sreedharan is expected to put forward a list of players he wants to retain for the coming season as well as a bunch of potential signings. Apart from that, the coach would have to go on the lookout for young Kerala talents in the state itself.

 

The managing director currently has to deal with the sponsorship matters as well as foreign players. "I am very busy at the moment, but don't worry, I'll hope to finalize the deals within a short span of time", says Liaquat Ali.
