| CPL: Viva crushes Golden Threads |

Viva Kerala displayed its dominance to the fullest when it tear apart Golden Threads FC in the Cochin Premier League. After 90 minutes of power-play, the young Viva side had scored five goals and conceded one.
The team took some time to settle down, but once the scoring spree started in the 36th minute, there was no holding back. Devadasan scored the 1-0 lead. Six mintues later, promising striker Sabeeth added another and after that made it 3-0 in the injury time of the first half.
Under the watchful eyes of coach Sreedharan as well as the club's directors, Devadasan scored his second goal in the 61st minute of the match. Shortly thereafter, Golden Threads, who had reinforced the team with Manipuri players amongst others, managed to pull one back following a free-kick.
However, in the 75th minute, it was attacking right wing-back P. Sajesh who found the net to make the final scoreline 5-1.
Coach Sreedharan was very happy with the performance, stating that his boys "played an outstanding game. I told my boys that this is a practice match for our tough 2nd Division campaign and that they should go all out for 90 minutes."
The next match would be played on Thursday against WRS, Edathala.
