The Ernakulam District FA has renamed its premier competition to attract more sponsor and add some more glamour. Viva Kerala has been pooled in group A.

Of the 12 teams which are divided into two pools, the top-two will enter the semi-finals. Viva's contenders in group A are Golden Threads, Udaya SC, Cochin Port Trust, M.A. College and WRS (Edathala). Group B comprises of Malabar United FC, Central Excise, Bolghatty Footballers, Amateurs FC, India Gateway Terminal and St. Albert's College.

 

The first match was played yesterday when CPT held Golden Threads to a 1-all draw. Viva's first match is to be played on the 8th February.
