It was a day that the whole VIVA team would want to forget. A lot of spectators wanted to witness the new power of Kerala football, but were left dissappointed when the referee blew the final whistle.

In the 16th minute, CE went up through M.K. Sunil who increased the lead in the 34th minute.
Four minutes later, Hanson scored to make the scoreline 3-0. He overcame defender Libu C. Philip and custodian Shiju and slotted the ball in.

Baba Tunde had some chances today but was not able to convert any of them. The VIVA boys played without any real spriit in the second half and hence, Central Excise dominated the match and played attacking and aggressive football.

Baba Tunde failed to make the most of a cross by Mohammed Muneer and in after the following counter attack, Saheed Omobolaj scored an own goal after Hanson's shot (60th minute).

To make matters worse, defender Saheed Omobolaj earned a red card in the 78th minute of the match. It was only then that VIVA scored two goals: first, substitute Sabeesh, scored after being fed by Baba Tunde and then the latter scored from the penalty spot.

Surely, VIVA fans should be dissappointed, but it is only normal that the team can't perform on a high level in a short span of 2-3 months. The most important thing is that the team qualified for next season's Professional League.
