Team Manager Prasanth, who is in charge of the arrangements in Kochi, is sure that the work will be completed in a few days time and the preparation camp can begin. Coach A.M. Sreedharan has always advocated an early beginning because his new players are very young and thus need more time to adjust to professional life at Viva. "A lot of clubs from all over India have already started their pre-season over a month ago. Again, we are pretty late, but I am optimistic.", said the chief coach.
The team might travel to Goa as part of their preparation and play exhibition matches in that state. Sreedharan is in constant touch with the players and already encouraging them to start working on their fitness.

After a lot of guessing, the Viva pre-season camp is set to start in the first week of August. Some minor work on the "player houses" had to be done before the camp could commence.
