MangutThe news that Nigerian striker Mbwas Mangut will join Viva Kerala is only a few days old. VK.net got a first comment from the player himself on his transfer to the Kerala club.
"It is nice to have a chance at a club like Viva Kerala at the highest Indian level. I will promise to the fans that I will do my best for the team and hopefully my best is good enough for the team. Thank you very much for your support!", says the Nigerian forward.

Deshabhimani: Musli Power to sponsor Viva Kerala

According to a report in the daily newspaper Deshabhimani, Musli Power of Kunnath Pharmaceuticals will sponsor Viva Kerala in the coming season. The Keralite pharma company and its product were the sponsors of Goa's Churchill Brothers during the last season. According to the article, the MD of Kunnath Pharmaceuticals K.C. Abraham, and P. Bhaskaran of Viva Kerala confirmed the deal. As per the newspaper, an official announcement will be made coming Saturday.

Meanwhile in Mayyil, the team continues preparing for a long season under the guidance of A.M. Sreedharan.

Team finalized: Kulothungan joins Viva Kerala

KulothunganThe Viva Kerala squad for the 2010/2011 season has been finalized. In a surprise move, Tamil Nadu's Kalia Perumal Kulothungan will join Viva Kerala and add some much needed experience to the squad. "Kulo" was released by Mohun Bagan AC after the last season concluded. For the attacking midfielder-cum-striker, the cycle comes full circle as his professional career also started in Kerala: it was in 2001 when he joined FC Kochin. After his short but impressive stint with Kerala's first professional football club, Kulothungan donned the colours of East Bengal, Mumbai FC and Mohun Bagan.
Another incoming player from Kerala's neighbouring state is V.R. Murugappan. The midfielder had an impressive campaign in the recently concluded V.P. Sathyan Memorial tournament where he represented Tamil Nadu XI.

Finally, the remaining foreigner's slot has also been filled.
